This four-hour charter on the Hudson begins at Englewood Boat Basin, the marina that Sinterra calls home, located on Henry Hudson Drive in Englewood Cliffs, NJ. Once everyone is onboard and comfortable the cruise begins by heading south on the waterway that divides Northern New Jersey and New York. Master Captain Gary cruises at a gentle speed of 7-10 miles per hour which allows guests to eat, drink, relax and walk around the boat while talking to friends and enjoying the sites fully. Scrumptious snacks and cold beverages are plentifully provided throughout the cruise along with a gourmet lunch or dinner (depending on your cruise time) which is served mid-way through the excursion.

Guests can take in the gorgeous, tree-filled heights of Hudson Park on the Jersey side that climax at the Palisades Parkway and tumble down to Henry Hudson Drive. On the left is the sprawling riverfront Inwood Hill Park and its forest. As Sinterra continues south, passengers will be stunned by the boater’s perspective as they glide beneath the massive George Washington Bridge just before passing Riverbank State Park, and then Upper Manhattan comes into view.

Guests will appreciate the relaxed environment and gentle cruising speed which provides ample opportunity to take in the high rises, and busyness of the city, as well as the passing marine vessels, helicopters overhead and the mighty Intrepid Sea, Air and Space Museum docked at Pier 86.

Continuing south, Sinterra will cruise over the Lincoln Tunnel, past Hudson Yards (rising high at 1,268 ft), the Empire State Building, the High Line, Chelsea and Greenwich Village, beyond Soho and then Lower Manhattan. Next Rockefeller Park comes into view as the gorgeous towers of the One Trade Center and Three Trade Center proudly stand on the hallowed ground beside the 9/11 Memorial and Museum.

Sinterra will gracefully turn southwest towards historic Ellis Island and then around the majestic Statue of Liberty allowing for beautiful and patriotic photos. This is also the perfect time to drop anchor and give guests the chance to enjoy their meal and really soak in the experience.

On the cruise back up the Hudson, Captain Gary will be sure to point out “The Vessel”, a Public Square and Gardens which is an interactive spiral staircase landmark that allows visitors to enjoy new perspectives of the city from different heights, angles and vantage points.  Another fascinating building is the New York Edge which is the highest outdoor sky deck in the Western Hemisphere, located at Hudson Yards.
